Datuk Dr. Ong Hong Peng
Datuk Dr. Ong Hong Peng started his career as Assistant Director of the Public Service Department in 1981. He served as the Senior Project Coordinator at the National Institute of Public Administration from 1992 to 1996. He joined the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) in March 2000 and subsequently assumed the position of Deputy Secretary General, Ministry of Tourism in December 2007. Since May 2008, he is the Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Malaysia. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Economics from Michigan State University, USA in 2000.
