Prof. Amran Hamzah

Prof. Dr. Amran Hamzah is a Professor in Tourism Planning and the Director of the Centre for Innovative Planning and Development (CiPD) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He has led more than 50 consultancy projects commissioned by the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia, Tourism Malaysia, APEC, IUCN WPCA and other national, regional and state agencies. He led the consultant team that formulated the ASEAN Homestay Standard in 2011 and ASEAN Homestay Checklist in 2012 and published many papers, journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. He is also President of the Malaysian Ecotourism Association (MEA)
